REGULAR FOLKS TO BIG BROTHER: GO TO HELL
To think that, in the 21st Century, the American government is using the threat of terrorism to advocate a chilling Total Information Awareness Program almost beggars reasonable thought. Or perhaps it is the desired absence of reasonable thought that led our government to believe that it could get away with such a destructive, freakish policy under the guise of protecting the homeland.
I suppose I should extend a warm thanks to those in Congress who, in an unusual display of basic common sense, have put the kebosh on the foul TIAP...for now. We'll see how the Bush administration's Sneaks figure out how to disassemble the offensive tenets of TIAP and put them back together as riders on other forms of legislation.
